Biography
In 2014 Cross Country: Competed in six meets for the Broncos... Posted a personal best in the 6,000 with a time of 22:46.8... Also posted a career-best 18:14.0 in the 5,000... Ran for CPP at the CCAA Championships where she placed 5th out of 100 competitors running a time of 22:46.8 in the 6,000-meter race. At the NCAA Division II West Regionals, she placed 55th out of 167 competitors, running a time of 23:00 in the 6,000-meter race.
In 2014 Track & Field: Put together a breakthrough track and field season in 2014... Recorded the team's top 1,500- and 3,000-meter times of the year... On April 18 at Azusa Pacific, she set a personal best in the 1,500 with a mark of 4:42.41... Her top 3,000-meter time came on Feb. 22 in Claremont as she crossed the line in 10:25.01.
In 2013 Cross Country: Competed in four meets, including a 58th-place finish at the CCAA Championships with her season-best time of 22:54.3.
In 2013 Track and Field: Competed in a variety of distance events for the Broncos including the 800-, 1,500-, 3,000- and 5,000- meter races… In the 3,000-meter race Nickles finished strong with a mark of 10:56.36 on April 6 at Cal State Los Angeles.
High School: A 2012 graduate of Fountain Valley High School... Raced to a career-best 5:10.24 in the mile at Arcadia... Through her high school career at Fountain Valley, she collected Most Inspirational, Coaches' Award and Most Improved accolades... Her other personal records include 4:52.99 in the 1,500-meter run and 11:20 in the 3,200-meter event... Graduated with the honor of Magna Cum Laude.
Personal: Daughter of Mary Lou and Dan Nickles... Has two siblings, Emily and Brian... Biotechnology major... Enjoys sleeping, shopping, hiking, going to the beach, running, and hanging out with friends in her free time... Her favorite movie is Inception and her favorite food is macaroni and cheese... Favorite pro athletes are CJ Wilson and Jenny Simpson... Favorite pro teams are the Green Bay Packers and the Los Angeles Angles... Aspires to use her degree for the betterment of humanity.
