Justin Giles

Justin Giles enters his fourth year as an Athletic Trainer at Cal Poly Pomona in 2026-27. He works primarily with the Bronco track & field, cross country, and soccer programs. 

In his role at Cal Poly Pomona, Giles provides comprehensive sports medicine care to student-athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play management. He works closely with coaches and support staff to promote the health, safety, and performance of Bronco student-athletes throughout the academic year. His commitment to student-athlete wellness plays an important role in fostering success both on and off the field of competition.

In the fall of 2024, Giles served as the athletic trainer for the women’s soccer team that captured the first NCAA Division II National Championship in program history.

Prior to joining Cal Poly Pomona in Spring 2023, Giles served as an athletic trainer at Saddleback College during the 2022-23 academic year, where he provided care for a variety of intercollegiate athletic teams.

Giles earned his Master of Science in Athletic Training from California Baptist University in 2022. He received his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Health and Human Performance from the University of La Verne.

A native of Claremont, California, Giles is certified in myofascial decompression, Kinesiology Taping (KT Tape), CPR/First Aid, Dry Needling, and Mulligan Manual Therapy for the Upper Extremity. In his free time, he enjoys lifting, photography and videography, playing basketball, and spending time with friends and family.
