2009: Sustained a torn ACL to her right knee and missed second half of the season... Before injury, played No. 1 singles and had a 3-5 record... Teamed with Mallory Brady and the duo wnet 7-1 at No. 2 doubles... Earned 2008-2009 Division II Athletic Directors Association (DII ADA) Academic Acheivement Awards, presented by WeatherPORT.
2008: A second-team All-CCAA performer for the NCAA Tournament Broncos… Went 6-12 overall in singles and 5-11 at No. 2… Posted a 3-4 doubles record with senior Jenny Tsai… Played the majority of the regular season at No. 3 doubles with Kaitlin Wooldridge and earned a 4-5 record.
At Cal State Fullerton: Attended two years and was on the tennis team, but did not see any playing time… Dean’s List member all four semesters.
At Connelly HS: Finished second in 2004 and 2005 in CIF Individuals… Earned team MVP sophomore season and team’s most inspirational junior and senior year… Honor roll status all four years… Earned English and Political Science school awards.
Personal: Daughter of Henry and Lynn Winkler… Political Science major… Family formerly lived in Northern Ireland and Canada… Both brothers served in Iraq and Afghanistan… Favorite movie is “Forrest Gump’’… Enjoys going to the beach and reading and writing.
