2009: Competed in three events for Cal Poly Pomona… Ran 2:29.48 in the 800 at Ben Brown Invite… Broke 5 minutes in the 1,500 at Azusa Pacific (4:59.69)… Ran 19:10.85 in the 5000 at Azusa Pacific… An All-CCAA Academic Award honoree… Earned 2008-09 DII ADA Academic Achievement Award honors.
2008: Competed in three events… Posted best times – 800 (2:27.03), 1,500 (5:04.19) and 3,000 (11:26.9)… An All-CCAA Academic Award honoree… One of 17 Cal Poly Pomona student-athletes honored by the Division II Athletic Directors Association (DII ADA) as its inaugural recipients of the DII ADA Academic Achievement Awards, presented by WeatherPORT.
2007: Solid student who featured best times in the 800 (2:25.7) and the 1,500 (4:51.81)… Finished 8th at the CCAA 1,500 (4:59.37)… An All-CCAA Academic Award honoree.
Cross Country 2009:Competed in six events… Ran 24:20.2 over 6,000 meters at NCAA Regional and placed 102nd… Placed 46th at Triton Invitational (24:40.6 over 6,000 m).  2008: Competed in seven events… Finished 57th at CCAAs and 112th in NCAA Regional.  2007: Competed in four events… Finished 48th at CCAA meet… 2006: Competed in four events… Ran the 5,000-meter course at UCR in season-best 19:41.9… Selected to school’s Academic All-Star team for surpassing a 3.50 GPA.
At Valencia HS: Received the College Board Hispanic Scholar Award in 2005 and the Coach’s Award in 2006… Competed in track and field.
Personal: Daughter of Rogelio and Celina Salceda… Double major in Spanish and Public Relations… Enjoys reading and playing the violin.
