Biography
2009: Competed in three events for the Broncos… Placed sixth in the CCAA Championships in the triple jump (35-11 ¼), her third straight conference-placing effort… Recorded season-bests in the 100 (13.55) and long jump (16-4 ½)… An outstanding student… Named to the CCAA All-Academic team…A 2008-2009 Division II Athletics Directors Association Academic Achievement Award recipient presented by WeatherPORT.
2008: Finished eighth in the CCAA triple jump (35-1)… Competed in five separate events (100, 200, high jump, long jump and triple jump)… Owned season-bests – 100 (13.36), 200 (27.55), high jump (4-9), long jump (17-2 ¼) and triple jump (35-5).
2007: Earned all-CCAA academic honors… Seaso-bests include: 100 (13.6 seconds), long jump (17-5 ¼) and triple jump (36-1 ½ ) … Finished seventh in the CCAA triple jump (10.98 meters).
At Canyon HS: Earned Top of Tribe award in 2005 and 2006 for having a 4.0 GPA… Most Valuable Jumper in 2005 and 2006 and earned the Bill Hall Award for determination, attitude/dedication and perseverance… Rookie of the Year in 2006… Earned Coach’s Award in golf…Best marks include: long jump (16-3 ¾) triple jump (34-0), 100 hurdles (17.32) and 300 hurdles (50.63).
Personal: Daughter of Kavous and Pamela Emami… An urban and regional planning major… Enjoys golfing, running, watching basketball, cooking, hiking, going to the beach, shopping and playing the flute.
