Biography
Cross Country in 2015: Competed in four races for the Broncos in her debut season... Opened the season running an 18:22.9 in the 5,000 at the UC Riverside Invite... Then competed in three races at the 6,000 meter distance... Personal best was at the Stanford Invite where she ran a 22:47.0... Final two race times were 22:49.67 and 22:52.9, the second of which was at the CCAA Cross Country Championships.
At Mt. San Antonio College: Was Athlete of the Month - September 2013... Woman's XC Most Outstanding Freshman in 2013... Received Woman's XC Most Improved Runner and Woman's Track & Field Coaches' Award in 2014... Received the Frank Casper Award (Most Improved Athlete) in 2015... Earned the Student of Distinction Award-Competitive Achievement in 2014 & 2015... Hit her P.R. mark in the 1500 at the San Jose Invite with a time of 4:59... 3,000M P.R. was hit at the Cal State LA invite with a mark of 10:42... Ran the 10,000M at the California State Champtionships meet with a time of 37:44... Made the Dean's list in 2013 and 2014.
High School: A 2013 graduate of Sunny Hills High School... Recognized as the Jr. Varsity Girls XC Most Improved runner in 2009, received the Varsity Girls XC Best Newcomer Award in 2010... Received the JV Girls XC Coaches Award and competed in the JV Girls XC Freeway League Championships meet in 2011... Was proclaimed the Varsity Girls XC Freeway League Runner of the Year, Most Valuable Player, competed in the Varsity Girls XC Freeway League Championships meet, and was the Freeway League XC Champion in 2012... Was the Varsity Girls Outstanding Track & Field Athlete-Distance for three consecutive years: 2011, 2012, and 2013... Hit her P.R. of 5:24 in the 1600M on May 1, 2013... on the same day hit her P.R. for the 3200M with a 11:57 mark... P.R. for the 3-mile race was a mark of 18:29... Also starred in the classroom earning the Scholar Athlete Award for XC and Track & Field in 2011, 2012, and 2013... Made Principle's Honor Roll in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012... Made High Honors in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013.
Personal: Daughter of Archie and Ana Jackson... Father attended the West Point Military Academy and mother attended The Berkeley Schools-Westchester Campus... Has two siblings, Kourtney and Vaughn... Kinesiology major... Enjoys reading, watching favorite tv shows and movies, cross stitching, and cooking or baking on her free time... Favorite movie is The Pirates of the Caribbean and favorite food is pepperoni pizza... Favorite pro athletes are Nascar racers Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, and Danica Patrick... She aspires to be a professional athlete.
