Annie Hofmans enters her fifth season in 2015 as the top assistant under head coach Rosie Wegrich. Hofmans, a former student-athlete and 2009 graduate of CPP, rejoined the Broncos in 2011 after starting her coaching career at La Verne.
Through her four seasons as a CPP assistant coach, seven Broncos have received All-Conference honors with Taylr Kreutziger receiving the recognition in 2011, Kelly Bonja and Diana Lake collecting the accolade in 2012, Jessica Doerner getting a selection in 2013, and Alexa Hasen, Nicoletta Stork, and Deanna Blaine earning a spot in 2014.Â
While with the Broncos as a student-athlete, Hofmans helped the volleyball team become 2005 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Co-Champions and during her senior campaign as captain, she earned All-CCAA Second Team and 2008 All-Pacific Region Tournament Team honors.
The Glendora native graduated from CPP with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion, with an emphasis in exercise science and human performance.
Hofmans, who is working toward a master's degree from La Verne with a focus on organizational leadership and management, started coaching with the Leopards after her graduation from CPP.
Working under head coach Marlon Sano, she assisted with many aspects, including fundraising, recruiting, budgeting, team travel, scheduling, video breakdown and planning and executing practice and game plans. Hofmans also helped with the training of the athletes with a particular emphasis on outside hitters and liberos.
Hofmans even ran the Leopards' program for a few months while the department conducted a national search for a head coach. From 2009 through 2011, Hofmans served as a camp counselor at a variety of programs, including the University of Notre Dame and Cal State L.A.
