The 2016 season marks the second year in Brian Lanoye's tenure as a coach on the Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer staff. In his first season with the team, CPP secured the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Tournament and West Region titles while concluding the season 17-3-3 with the program's first-ever NCAA National Runner-Up finish.

In the 2015 postseason, the Broncos won the program's first-ever NCAA postseason game with a 1-0 win over Cal State L.A. They went on to post a 4-1 NCAA postseason record, including victories over three nationally-ranked teams.

Lanoye joined the Green and Gold coaching staff prior to the start of the 2015 season. The Torrance native came with a wealth of coaching experience as 2014 was his tenth season on staff at Fullerton. He began working as an undergraduate student manager for the Titans.

“Brian is an exceptional young coach,” said Raz. “He has put a great deal of effort into developing his craft. Not only will he be overseeing our goalkeeper development, but we will utilize his sports psychology degree and other talents he possesses.”

Lanoye earned his bachelor’s in kinesiology from Fullerton in 2010. Continuing his schooling, he completed the coursework for his master’s in sports psychology, also at Fullerton. He currently resides in Placentia.
