Jordan Alcantar is in his first season in 2013 as a program associate for the Cal Poly Pomona volleyball team.

Alcantar's coaching focus is on strength and conditioning. He's designed and implemented offseason and in-season strength and conditioning programs for the Broncos' volleyball program while instituting dynamic warmup and flexibility drills. He teaches and instructs proper technique for weightlifting, strength training and power development with an emphasis on sports performance and injury reduction.

A 2010 graduate of Cal Poly Pomona, Alcantar competed on the Broncos' baseball squad for four years. He excelled academically, earning All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Academic selection during the 2008-09 academic year.

In addition to his current responsibilities with the Broncos, Alcantar also serves as a strength coach at the Mizuno Athletic Club and also the West Coast Sports Medicine Team to Win Foundation. During the summer of 2013, Alcantar interned with Mike Boyle in Boston, Mass.

In addition to his undergraduate degree from CPP, Alcantar is now pursuing a Master's degree in Kinesiology at Cal State Fullerton through a program he began in Fall 2012.
