Magdalena Mankowska Gleaves is entering her first season in 2011 as an assistant coach under head coach Rosie Wegrich.
A native of Poland, she has helped coach volleyball teams to regional and national championships in her home country. Also, two of the players Mankowska previously coached landed spots on the Polish Junior National Team.
Most recently, Mankowska served as a coaching assistant for the Penn State women's volleyball team, the four-time defending champion at the Division I level. In 2009, she guided the Junior Regional Team to a Polish National Championship.
Specializing in defensive tactics and working with liberos and setters, Mankowska is in her fifth year overall of coaching.
Mankowski earned a master's degree in Sport Science at University of Physical Education in Poznan, Poland.
