Alexis Henry enters her third year as Facilities and Events Coordinator in 2025-26.

Henry comes to Cal Poly Pomona from the University of Southern California, where she had been serving since last November as the Game Management & Operations Graduate Assistant. Her responsibilities with the Trojans included the planning and implementation of game day operations for men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, water polo, swimming, football, beach volleyball and baseball. Henry worked with coaches, officials and other athletics personnel in ensuring smooth and efficient game day operations, collaborated with various departments like marketing, recruiting and development to achieve successful execution of events and engagement with external partners, and scheduled student workers for facility setup and teardown.

Prior to becoming a graduate assistant, Henry was a game management and operations intern at USC beginning in August of last year, assisting with the setup and breakdown of home football games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum during the 2022 season, as well as the meet day operations of the 2022 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships.

Henry has also worked as a recreation lead for the City of Downey Parks & Recreation since June of 2022 alongside her duties at USC. She was previously a sports management intern for Prime Time Basketball Association and a sports information intern at Cypress College, both in 2022, and an assistant track and field coach at Mt. San Antonio College in nearby Walnut from August of 2021 to November of 2022.

In May of 2023, Henry completed her Master of Arts in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Management from Long Beach State University. Her undergraduate degree came in Business Administration-Management from San Francisco State University in May of 2020. There, she was a team captain for the sprints group from 2018-20, a seven-time USTFCCCA All-American, and the 2019 Women’s Track & Field Tri-Track Athlete of the Year.

Henry was also a five-time California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) individual champion as a Gator, anchoring the first-place 4x400 relay in 2018 before winning four titles in 2019 in the 200, 400, 4x100 and 4x400 to earn CCAA Track Athlete of the Meet distinction. CPP great Ayana Fields won the next two such awards in 2022 and 2023.

Henry aided SF State to back-to-back CCAA team crowns in 2018 and 2019. She still holds CCAA Championships meet records in the 400 (53.83 in 2019) and 4x400 (3:41.64 in 2018), and was on SFSU’s national runner-up 4x400 and 4x100 relays at the 2019 NCAA Division II Indoor and Outdoor Championships, respectively. The SF State women’s squad finished program bests of 10th and fifth at those meets.

Henry transferred to SF State after two standout years at West Los Angeles College in Culver City. She was the Wildcats’ Most Valuable Track Athlete for each season, while attaining an associate’s degree in Business Administration in May of 2017.

A Torrance product, Henry graduated from South High School as its record-holder in the 100, 200, 400 and 4x100.
