Rachel Wilson enters her fifth year as an Athletic Trainer at Cal Poly Pomona in 2026-27. She serves as the primary athletic trainer for the Bronco baseball and volleyball programs.
In her role at Cal Poly Pomona, Wilson provides comprehensive sports medicine care to student-athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play management. She works closely with coaches and support staff to promote the health, safety, and performance of Bronco student-athletes throughout the academic year. Her commitment to student-athlete wellness plays an important role in fostering success both on and off the field of competition.
Wilson comes from fellow CCAA school Cal State San Marcos where she served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer since October 2015.
Prior to CSUSM, she spent the 2014-15 academic year as the athletic trainer at Rio Hondo Community College, where she was the lead for all 13 Roadrunner squads. Wilson also spent time at Concordia Irvine from 2012-14 while completing her Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration. She was the designated athletic trainer for men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis and softball. In addition, Wilson has worked with the West Coast Futbol Club and the Palm Springs Power Baseball team.
Wilson is a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer and a member of the NATA.
Wilson received her Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training from Long Beach State where she received the Outstanding Undergraduate Award from the Department of Kinesiology.
