Jenzen Torres, in one of the most dominant weeks in recent conference history, tallied a .462 average in Cal Poly Pomona’s four games against Cal State East Bay while crushing four homeruns and 13 runs batted in. The junior catcher recorded an on-base percentage of .588 while slugging 1.385. He helped the Broncos take three of four from the Pioneers, as CPP outscored the visitors by a combined total of 42-10. With his effort this past week, Torres raised his batting average to .333 and is second on the team in homeruns with five on the season. On Friday in the 19-3 win for the Broncos, he registered a career-high six RBI. Those 19 runs for CPP was the highest total in program history since 2002.
