Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

Behind spectacular performances from Jacob Deavers and Carter Griffin, the Cal Poly Pomona men's track and field team captured conference titles in five different events Saturday, the final day of the CCAA Championships held on the campus of Cal State Stanislaus.

The Broncos took 1-2-3 in the 110-meter hurdles final, as Deavers took first with a national provisional qualifying time of 14.58. It was a similar story for the 400-meter hurdles, with Deavers capturing the title at 53.58.

For his effort and performances, Deavers was named the CCAA Track Athlete of the Meet.
