Exactly nine months ago, Heather Corder started her collegiate career at Cal Poly Pomona. She's competed at the highest levels of Division II in that span, with strong performances during the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships and the NCAA National Championships.

On Friday, she added a United States Junior Outdoor Championships appearance to her track and field resume. After warming up on the Hawyard Field track next to Lolo Jones, one of the top hurdlers in the world, Corder recorded a 100-meter hurdles time of 14.50.
