Through civic engagement, student-athletes have opportunities to make a positive impact beyond competition while developing leadership skills, social responsibility, and a commitment to service.
In accordance with NCAA Division II legislation,
Tuesday, November 3, 2026, is designated as Civic Engagement Day, during which all student-athletes are provided a required day off from countable athletically related activities.
Student-athletes are encouraged to use this opportunity to explore meaningful ways to engage with their communities, including volunteer service, civic education, community outreach, and other activities that support positive social change.
