Luis Gonzalez, a 2010 Division II All-American, continues to develop as one of the nation’s top scorers. This past weekend, he helped the Broncos defeat nationally-ranked Sonoma State by scoring the match’s lone goal in the CPP 1-0 victory. On Sunday, he recorded a hat trick to lead the Broncos to a 5-1 rout of Humboldt State. The four-goal week raised his season goal total to a conference-best eight and pushed his career total to 20, which ranks in a tie for fourth on the CPP all-time leaderboards. With game-winning scores in back-to-back matches, Gonzalez has helped the Broncos extend their South Division lead to four points.
