Ryan Carrell raced Saturday at a 5:07.1 pace in the NCAA Division II West Region Championships, earning himself an 18th-place finish with a time of 31:44 across the 10,000-meter course. That mark landed him All-West Region honors.

Overall, the Broncos finished with 277 points, placing 11th among the 17 teams competing in Spokane. The individual performances from the young squad proved to be marked improvements from the last 10,000-meter race that CPP competed in.

Carrell's mark this Saturday ended up being exactly a minute faster than his first-place time at the Triton Invitational in October.
