Charlene Popoff has shown an elevated game through the early part of the 2011-12 season. The senior forward helped the 12th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team to two more wins this week, as the Broncos improved to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). On Thursday in an 81-56 rout of Cal State Stanislaus, Popoff tallied a career-high 20 points to go along with 11 rebounds, combining for her third career double-double. On Saturday during the 70-55 defeat of Chico State, Popoff was well on her way to another double double before leaving the game due to a minor injury. She finished with 11 points and eight rebounds in just 27 minutes played.
