Jacob Deavers totaled 22 individual points Saturday at Cal State L.A., helping the Cal Poly Pomona men's track and field team hold onto fourth place at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships.

Eight of Deavers' points came in the 110-meter hurdles event as he placed second with a time of 14.42. Less than 15 minutes later, the senior from Lake Elsinore finished third in the 400-meter dash when he crossed the line in a career-best 48.11.

Later in the day, Deavers ran a 52.18 in the 400-meter hurdles to place second and match his personal record. Competing in five events Saturday, Deavers also contributed to a pair of second-place finishes for the Broncos' relay teams.
