Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

David Perez, a thrower for the Cal Poly Pomona men's track and field team has been selected as a Bronco Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Aug. 17.- Aug 23. 

Perez, a senior during the 2014-15 campaign, posted a 3.77 GPA in his coursework. His chosen major is Foods and Nutrition and he aspires to become a firefighter. 

In his time as a Bronco, Perez posted personal bests of 42 feet in the shotput and 196-11 in the javelin.
