In what has become a fall tradition at Cal Poly Pomona, Tiffany Dinh will once again be racing at the Division II Cross Country National Championships.

A senior from Norwalk, Dinh extended her prolific career Saturday with a memorable, second-place performance at the D-II West Region Championships. After finishing second at the conference championships two weeks ago, Dinh established herself as the top California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) competitor Saturday at the regional meet in Hawaii.

Racing through 6,000 meters of the scenic Kahuku Golf Course, Dinh crossed the line in 21:25.91 with a mile pace of 5:45. Dinh's 21:25.91 mark was just seven seconds off the first-place time recorded by Alaska Anchorage's Susan Tanui. It marked the third-straight season that Dinh has earned All-West Region honors.

Dinh will now turn her attention to the final cross country race of her collegiate career, the Nov. 17 National Championships to be held in Joplin, Mo. She guided the Broncos to a team appearance as a sophomore in 2010 and then earned All-American honors as an individual qualifier in 2011.
