The newest senior on the Cal Poly Pomona women's track and field team, Angela Garcia, captured wins in both the 100- and 200-meter races Saturday during day two of the Pomona Preview Meet, which was co-hosted by Cal Poly Pomona and Mt. San Antonio College at the Hilmer Lodge Stadium in Walnut.

Garcia, who played on the Broncos' women's soccer team the past four years and helped that squad reach the NCAA Tournament this past fall, recorded a season-best time of 12.22 in the 100-meter dash Saturday at Mt. SAC. That mark is the best in school history since 1998 and it puts Garcia in a tie for 10th all-time in the program record book.
