Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

The first game Saturday at Scolinos Field between Cal Poly Pomona and Sonoma State developed into an impressive pitching duel between a pair of seniors, the Seawolves' Harmen Sidhu and the Broncos' Ryan Dunn.

Dunn racked up seven strikeouts in the first four innings and finished with a career-high eight punchouts. The lefthander from Chino Hills allowed a solo homerun to Garrett Schwartz in the fourth inning and that 1-0 Seawolves' lead held through until the ninth. Dunn allowed just five hits and one walk while going 7.1 innings.
