The Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team has gotten plenty of clutch performances through the first half of the 2013 season and on Friday in Hayward, Melissa Garcia was the hero in overtime for the Broncos.

In the 105th minute, Tatiana Cortes and Garcia combined on the game-winning play. Cortes initiated it with a nice cross from the left side to Garcia, who stopped the ball, made a quick move and then lined into the bottom right side of the net.

For Garcia, Friday's game winner marked her second goal of 2013 and her third career score. It was Cortes' first game this season and she made an immediate impact, playing 15 minutes and notching her first career assist as a Bronco.
