Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

Cal Poly Pomona senior defender Kristin Mihara came through with several key plays this past weekend in helping the Broncos gain two points in the standings with a 1-1 draw against Chico State Friday and a 0-0 tie with 25th-ranked Cal State San Bernardino Sunday.

Mihara and the Broncos are still undefeated at home with a 1-0-4 record at Kellogg Field. Through those five games, CPP has allowed just three goals. As the most veteran member of the Broncos' defense, Mihara has joined Megan Kisslan, Hannah Leu and Rachel Killigrew in keeping the pressure of sophomore goalkeeper Alex Abbott.

Abbott has come up clutch as well though, collecting two game-saving stops on Sunday in the 0-0 draw with Cal State San Bernardino. The Broncos will return to action Friday with a 4:30 p.m. home match against Cal State L.A.
