The Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer team ended its 2013 season on a high note as the Broncos topped Cal State Dominguez Hills 1-0 on Senior Day at Kellogg Field. With an assist from fellow fourth-year Brandon Cortez, Jesus Mitre knocked in Sunday's eventual game-winning goal in the 14th minute.

Senior defender Tyler Swobe and Christopher Rosales helped keep the pressure off fourth-year goalkeeper Andrew Todd, who notched a save and finished with his eighth career shutout in his final collegiate match.

The difference maker proved to be the Mitre goal at the 13:34 mark. With Michael Torres sending a pass upfield along the left side, Cortez received the ball and turned toward the goal to fire a cross into the box. Mitre, playing in his 48th and final game as a Bronco, charged in at the far post and lined it past Toros' netminder Markus Dickerson.
