In the Broncos 2-0 win against Fresno Pacific, junior defender
Kris Korich from Chino Hills proved to be a massive threat for CPP offensively as he scored his first two goals of the season.
Through the first half hour of play neither team gained much of an advantage. In the 32nd minute,
Mathew Perez and
Abiel Coronado provided Korich with the scoring opportunity from the right side. Korich fired one by the Sunbirds' goalie and found the net as his shot deflected off the post to give the Broncos the 1-0 lead.
After a few tough breaks for the Broncos, Korich would come through again. After
Daniel Asor sent a pass to
Luis Najera Jr., the Tulare native found Korich open in front of the goal. For his second goal of the season, Korich slotted the ball to the right of FPU's goalkeeper thereby sealing the Sunbirds' fate.
On Sunday in the Broncos 3-0 win against CSU Monterey Bay CPP wasted no time getting on the board as just 45 seconds in
Armando Ochoa found the back of the net. The goal was Ochoa's fourth of the season and it gave the Broncos a 1-0 lead over the Otters.
Daniel Asor found an open
Kris Korich who passed the ball to Ochoa. The junior from Riverside slotted the ball to the left past the CSUMB net-minder and gave the CPP squad an early lead.
