With a weekend split under their belts, the Cal Poly Pomona women’s basketball team now holds an 11-3 win-loss tally in the conference standings.
Friday night saw the Broncos defeat Cal State Monterey Bay 87-72. Jada Blackwell sank 6-of-12 from the field and three free throws en route to her 15 points. The night saw the senior also dish out eight assists, record two blocks, and steal one.
Saturday night, despite the Broncos’ ultimate loss, the Rancho Cucamonga native turned in a team leading offensive performance. Her 26 points were complete with five successful shots from the field, a pair of threes, and an amazing 14 well-aimed shots from the free throw line. Add to her resume for the game a pair of blocks, a pair of steals, and 11 rebounds and the communication major turns in her fifth double-double on the season.
