An impressive javelin performance by Tiffany Tate highlighted a strong effort from the Cal Poly Pomona women's track and field team at the Cal State L.A. Invite through Friday and Saturday.

Tate placed first overall, recording a personal-best distance of 132-11 to earn a "B" provisional mark.
