Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

Alexa Hasen of Cal Poly Pomona Volleyball has been named the CPP Bronco Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of July 27- Aug 3 for her academic feats throughout the 2014-15 year. The Huntington Beach native posted a 3.75 GPA throughout her junior campaign with the Green and Gold. She is working towards a degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Science. 

Hasen is able to compliment her obvious skill in the classroom with some equally impressive work on the court. The posted a .274 kill percentage in the Broncos 15-10 season, a number good for third on the team. She recorded a career high .682 percentage against Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 11, which landed her fifth on the all-time CPP record list for that category. She was also a defensive standout, making 98 total blocks, a number good for second on the team.
