Summer Furzer of the Cal Poly Pomona cross country and track and field teams has been named a Bronco Scholar-Athlete of the week for the week of Aug. 17- Aug. 23.

Furzer, a native of Menifee posted a 3.85 GPA during her sophomore season in 2014-15. She is a Graphic Design major and will be entering her junior year of competition in the upcoming 2015-16 campaign.

Furzer competed in the 1,500 meter race posting a 4:51.60 season high. She also partook in the 4,000m distance medley and the 4x800m relay.
