A senior Libero for the Broncos, Zoe Herrera turned in an impressive performance this past weekend. The Valinda native secured 58 digs in two matches, tallying 29 in each. With her 21st dig in Saturday's contest against the nationally-ranked Coyotes, Herrera secured her place at the helm of the CPP record books. She now holds the number one spot in the books in the career digs category.
The previous record of 1,517 was set by Kiting Kolar during her four-year career from 2004-07. Prior to Saturday's match, Herrera needed just 21 digs to take over first place. With her 29, she now has recorded 1,526 in the category. Prior to the start of the 2015 season Herrera was sixth place in the Broncos' books. Thus far in this season has tallied 449 digs, a number good for third place on the conference leaderboard.
