Kristen Hamlin helped the Broncos to two wins this past weekend. The Green and Gold’s win on Saturday evening against the Cal State East Bay Pioneers secured the Broncos a spot in the first ever CCAA Postseason Tournament. CPP earned wins against both the Pioneers on Saturday and the Gators of San Francisco State on Friday. Both matches were won 3-1.
Hamlin was the CPP squad’s top offensive player in both matches. In Friday’s four-set victory, the Freshman posted a match-leading 20 kills while registering at a .375 attack percentage, the 20 kills was also a career high for the La Habra Heights native. In Saturday’s win in Hayward, the Middle Blocker nearly reached that 20 kill mark again, but fell short by just one kill. She was a bit more efficient however as she posted those 19 kills with a .424 attack percentage.
Total on the weekend, Hamlin posted 39 kills, a number that led every other player in conference.
