Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

Jordan Faison helped lead the Cal Poly Pomona men's basketball team to a split weekend as they topped the Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes 84-63 on Thursday and were defeated by the nationally-ranked UC San Diego defense 41-35 on Saturday. 

In Thursday's contest, the Lake Forest native put together a career-high 27 point performance as he sank 10-of-14 shots taken as well as 7-of-7 shots from the free throw line. The contest was yet another double-double for the senior as he also racked up 10 rebounds. If those numbers weren't enough, he earned Player of the Game honors as he also contributed three blocks and two steals. 

On Saturday, it was truly a battle of defensive giants in Kellogg Arena as the CPP squad duked it out with fellow CCAA opponents, the UC San Diego Tritons. Maison led the Green and Gold with nine points in the game. His performance also included seven rebounds and three blocks.
