The Cal Poly Pomona track and field runners competed at the Occidental Distance Carnival this past weekend. Six total members of the Broncos' squad partook in the event.

With a ninth-place overall finish in the 5,000 meter event, Lizette Huerta led the CPP women with a provisional qualifying time of 16:59.0. That mark ranks at No. 3 on the Broncos' all-time leaderboard and it's the fastest time for CPP since 1987.
