The Cal Poly Pomona women's track and field team excelled at the Redlands Invite on Friday night. The Broncos' throwers led the field in all of the their events.
 
Tiffany Tate secured her second provisional of the season with a first-place finishing 14.11 meter throw in the shot put. Her distance also secures her the No. 1 spot in all of NCAA D-II throwers thus far. The provisional toss was the senior's career best in the throw, topping her previous best by nearly a full meter. Tate also secured first place in the javelin with a 43.06 meter throw, besting the second-place finisher by four meters.
 
In the discus, the Broncos' combo of Nina Pritchett and Tate made for a one-two punch as the two seniors finished in the top two spots, respectively. Pritchett's throw was a 41.77 meter toss, just behind her, Tate came in with another career-best with her 40.16 meter throw.
