With his stellar collegiate debut season, Nic Hernandez earned the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Freshman of the Year honors.

After earning the accolade, he then went 10-for-14 in the Broncos' four games in the CCAA Championships, and tallied four RBIs and four runs scored. He also walked three times to make his reached safely tally 13-for-17 on the weekend.

His performance in the field and at the plate earned him All-Tournament honors.
