Senior Mark Huizar shined on Saturday in Palo Alto, placing 10th individually while setting a new Cal Poly Pomona record for the 8,000-meter distance at a mark of 23:47.0. The Broncos placed second behind Cal Poly SLO, finishing as the top D-II team in the field.

Just a split second behind was teammate Christian Rodriguez at 23:47.3. The Broncos' top five runnners all placed within the top 25 individually. Ruben Dominguezturned in a mark of 24:03.9 to take 18th. A pair of seniors rounded out the top five asGrant Stromberg, a Pacific Palisades native, took 22nd at 24:10.80 and Brandon Ferguson of Irvine finished 25th with a time of 24:16.0.
