With Mark Huizar leading the way, Cal Poly Pomona men's cross country placed third at the NCAA West Region Championships to advance to nationals for the fourth-consecutive year.

The Broncos placed their top five runners in the top 28 individual spots, including Huizar at No. 6 with a time of 30:08.94. Huizar's time is just a few seconds behind his 2015 regional mark, which ranks at No. 2 on the CPP all-time leaderboard.
