Diana Zapata put together a strong performance in Bellingham, Wash., Saturday to help the Cal Poly Pomona women's cross country team place fourth at the West Regional race and earn a berth into the NCAA Championships to be held Dec. 4 in Louisville, Ky. Zapata posted the second-best Broncos' time Saturday at 23:59.8. The 24-team field battled a slick course after blizzard-like conditions swept through Washington Friday night.
