HAYWARD -  Double overtime was the theme for the night at Pioneer Stadium on the campus of CSU East Bay.  Following a double overtime tie in the women's game, the men played on as well.   Although there was scoring in the men's game, the result was the same at the end with a final of 1-1.

 

CSU East Bay opened the scoring in the seventeenth minute on a goal by Mike Rossie.   The Broncos countered in the second half (59:30) as Ricardo Reyes connected on his first goal of the season.  The Broncos kept pressure on the Pioneers all evening as they recorded nineteen shots on goal versus just six for the Pioneers, but managed to find the net only once.  Cal Poly Pomona (5-3-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the CCAA) is back in action at UC San Diego on Sunday.  Game time in La Jolla is 12 p.m.
