POMONA -- San Francisco State struck with three runs on two hits in the seventh inning and went on to hand host Cal Poly Pomona a 6-3 loss in the teams' California Collegiate Athletic Association series opener Friday afternoon at Scolinos Field.
The Broncos, now 12-10 overall and 6-7 in the CCAA, will play a Saturday doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m.

Jenzen Torres hit a solo home run for the Broncos in the second, but the Gators answered with two runs of their own in the third and one run in the fourth.
The Broncos, who trailed 6-1 in the seventh, rallied slightly with two runs in the seventh.
