LOS ANGELES – Continuing its recent trend of inspired play, the Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team posted a 0-0 draw at Cal State L.A. Friday as the result marked the third-straight shutout for the Broncos.
CPP is undefeated in its last four matches while going 2-0-2 in that stretch. Up next will be an 11:30 a.m. matchup Sunday at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Broncos' junior goalkeeper
Sarah Rohman collected five saves in Los Angeles, moving her into fourth place all-time in the
CPP record book with a career total of 182.
On Friday, Rohman passed Jennifer Bryant (177 during 1992 and 1993) and Mia Gail (179 from 1986 through 1988). The all-time record for saves as a Bronco is 516, set by Dawn Williams in 1996.
Through the 110 minutes of action Friday, the Golden Eagles outshot the Broncos by a count of 16-10. Most of CSULA's on-target attempts came in the first half as Rohman tallied four of her five stops in those 45 minutes.
One of the best chances for either team to get on the board came in the 77th minute, when Tera Piserchio hit the crossbar on one of her three shots in the contest.
The Broncos registered one shot through the two overtime periods.
Megan Kisslan fired an attempt that sailed over the bar as the score remained locked at 0-0.
Now with three-consecutive shutouts, Rohman has raised her career total to 11 with the help of the steady play from the experienced CPP backline.
