IRVINE, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona men's track and field team thrived in a busy schedule of events at UC Irvine Sunday as the Broncos succeeded in the second and final day of the Steve Scott Invitational.
CPP's 4x100 relay group of
James Weiner,
Jacob Deavers,
Tanner Terry and
Keith Comrie set a new season-best time of 41.75 that ended up netting a fourth-place finish.
Junior
Matt Boudreau recorded a personal best in the 100-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 15.08 to place 10th overall. Meanwhile, freshman
Andrew Roide showed more progress in the high jump event as he leapt to a career-best mark of 6-4.75.
In the 400-meter hurdles event Sunday, Deavers posted another mark in the 52-second range. The Lake Elsinore placed fifth with a time of 52.86, falling just shy of his career-best 52.18.
This weekend's Steve Scott Invitational served as the Broncos' final preparations before the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships get underway Thursday at Cal State L.A.
