Box Score | SAN FRANCISCO - A back-and-forth game Friday in San Francisco shifted in Cal Poly Pomona's favor when Jordan Faison dropped in the go-ahead basket with three seconds to play.

Just as the Broncos seemed to have their 13th-straight win in the books, SF State's Decensae White raced up toward midcourt and sank a buzzer beater to topple CPP by a score of 57-55.

It marks just the second loss of the season for the Broncos, who fall to 21-2 overall and 17-2 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).

The Gators, now 14-9 overall and 12-7 in league play, were positioned ninth in the first West Region rankings released Wednesday while CPP held the No. 2 spot.

The Broncos will return to action Saturday with a 7:30 p.m. matchup at Sonoma State. CPP is still one win - or one Cal State San Bernardino loss - away from clinching the CCAA regular season title outright for the first time in program history.

Junior guard Terrence Drisdom paced the Broncos' offense Friday with a 17-point effort on 8-for-9 shooting. He also added four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The host SF State squad held a 26-19 lead late in the first half but a DeRonn Scott three-pointer with five seconds left trimmed the halftime lead to four.

The Broncos started the second half on a 6-0 run as that stretch featured a pair of slick passes from Barry Bell, who finished with five assists Friday. The two squads continued to trade the lead back and forth with the Gators taking a 51-47 advantage at the 3:47 mark after a Winston Demmin three-pointer.

That was just the start of a long series of cluch baskets as CPP responded with a 6-0 run that was capped off a Scott triple from straight away atop the arc, a shot that put the Broncos ahead 53-51 with 1:53 to play.

The Gators' last-minute magic started at the 22-second mark when William Overton fired in a three-pointer to give the host squad a one-point edge and bring the home fans to their feet.

After crossing midcourt, the Broncos called timeout with 18 seconds to play. Scott dribbled the ball toward the hoop in the final seconds and then dished it off to Faison for the go-ahead basket as the clock ticked down to three seconds.

Despite facing stellar defensive pressure in the final moments, White tossed in the buzzer beater to give SF State the dramatic two-point victory.
