Box Score | SEASIDE, Calif. – After a lopsided loss Friday in Hayward, the Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team bounced back in a big way Saturday as the Broncos cruised to a 75-43 rout of Cal State Monterey Bay.

It marked the largest margin of victory in the 21 all-time meetings between the two squads and it took a team effort with four Broncos scoring in double figures. CPP grabbed 50 rebounds, the largest total so far this year.

At 8-2 overall and 5-1 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), the Broncos remain in a tie for first place in the conference standings with Cal State East Bay and Cal State Stanislaus. Monterey Bay fell to 0-6 in league action.

Junior center Jada Blackwell tallied her third double-double performance Saturday, collecting 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Broncos' offense. She's scored in double digits through her first nine games as a Bronco.

J.J. Judge recorded 13 points, including a pair of three-pointers that moved her into third all-time for that statistic. On the leaderboard of three-pointers made, Judge passed former teammate Sarah Semenero and is now tied with Ruby Maciel.

Ariel Marsh and Mian Dingle contributed 11 points apiece while Tyler Woods added a season-high seven rebounds.

The Broncos stormed out to an 8-0 lead at the start of the contest. During that stretch, Blackwell and Judge provided four points apiece. Monterey Bay responded with nine unanswered points of its own before Blackwell knocked down a three-pointer from the right side to stop the Otters' run.

CPP excelled at getting to the free throw line, scoring its next six points at the charity stripe to take a 17-9 lead. As a team, the Broncos went a perfect 14-for-14 at the line in the first half as Blackwell knocked down all eight of her attempts.

Marsh and Dingle contributed three-pointers late in the opening period and a layup from Cydnie Jones at the 1:22 mark pushed CPP's lead to 33-22 and that margin held into halftime.

The Broncos steadily built up their lead in the second half and picked up the pace even more down the stretch, closing out the contest on a 14-4 run in the final six minutes of action.

Just as Blackwell carried the team in the first half, Judge starred in the second stage of the contest as she scored nine of her 13 points in the last 20 minutes.

The Broncos will return home to host San Francisco State on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The Gators are just one win behind CPP in the standings at 4-2.
