POMONA, Calif. - The Cal Poly Pomona women's volleyball team will continue its season on Thursday at 7 p.m. as they travel to Cal State San Bernardino to take on the No. 8 Coyotes.
Last weekend was a tough one for the Broncos as they fell to San Francisco State after being up 2-1, and then to Sonoma in three.
CPP holds a 5-5 record on the season, with a 3-4 tally in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play. The Coyotes, after last week's sweeps against Chico and Cal State Stanislaus, have put up an overall mark of 8-2 with a conference record of 5-1.
The Broncos are led in the kill category by freshman
Deanna Blaine, who holds 121 kills in CPP's 10 matches. The attack leader for CPP is
Christen Williams, who commands a .349 percentage. Overall the Broncos hold more kills than all of their opponents thus far with the numbers being 527 to 510, respectively.
On the serve the Broncos have proved their worth as they have an average of 1.52 service aces per set, which is good for 64 service aces on the year to date. That total is 24 more than their opposition.

Zoe Herrera led the Broncos with 41 digs, which brings her tally up to 177 digs thus far this season.
CPP also holds more blocks than its opponents at 100 to 87. Williams also leads the solo block and block assists categories with eight and 40, good enough for a No. 27 individual ranking across the NCAA Division II.
The Coyotes are led by Alexandra Torline, who has collected 166 kills, and Tori May, who has a .399 attack percentage. CSUSB's two losses have come to Central Washington and San Francisco State.
