Ariel Marsh led the Broncos to an 80-64 victory over the Cal State L.A. Golden Eagles on Saturday.
Marsh connected on 10-of-17 shots, including seven from beyond the arc in the Broncos' win. Her seven triples ties her personal-best and remains just one short of the coveted lead spot in the CPP record books.
In no small feat of her own,

Ashley Lovett and
Erin Hagan both supplied five boards for the visitors and
Lauren Goecke swiped the ball from the Golden Eagles five times.
After a Blackwell jumper just 12 seconds into the game, CSULA was forced to play catch-up the entire game. The first half saw the Broncos largest run in the game, as ten-straight baskets provided CPP with its largest first-half lead of 19 points.
The first half ended with a 15-point Bronco advantage and a score of 36-21. In that half Marsh made just one of her threes and he Broncos sank 13-of-28 from the field.
Though that first half may seem impressive for the CPP offense, the second half was all the merrier. A 63% from the floor, ripe with eight triples gave the Broncos an extra 44 points.
The Golden Eagles turned up their game in the second period as well, sinking 17-of-35 shots and adding 43 to their overall tally. CSULA recorded 14 steals throughout the match-up and earned more offensive rebounds than the Broncos.
After the first half provided two large sprees in the green and gold squad's favor, the home team was hard pressed to catch up. The second half was an even assortment of scoring across the board as neither team earned more than a six-point run.
