Terrence Drisdom Named NCAA All-American

POMONA, Calif. - After guiding Cal Poly Pomona to a 24-7 record and a conference tournament title, Terrence Drisdom has received NCAA Division II All-American honors.

He is now the first men's basketball student-athlete in school history to collect the All-American accolade in two different seasons. Drisdom earned the same recognition at the end of the 2012-13 campaign.

A senior guard from Corona, Drisdom totaled 1,201 points through his collegiate career to rank eighth all-time in program history. During his time at CPP, the Broncos posted an overall record of 88-29.

This year, Drisdom was selected as the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Player of the Year while also earning All-West Region First Team honors. Drisdom's All-American First Team selection announced Monday is from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) while last week's All-American Second Team recognition comes from the Basketball Times publication.

A two-time CCAA Player of the Week in 2014-15, Drisdom ranked second in the league for scoring (16.5 points per game), first in minutes (995), first in field goals made (180), first in steals (80), first in free throws made (124), fourth in blocks (24) and fifth in total rebounds (189). He also helped the Broncos rank No. 2 nationally in defense for Division II.

After CPP topped Chico State in Stockton to capture the CCAA tournament title, Drisdom was named to the All-Tournament Team. In helping the Broncos reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament, Drisdom scored a career-high 31 points in the season's final game - a 77-67 loss to Azusa Pacific. He also received All-Tournament honors for the West Region postseason.

Drisdom totaled 80 steals in the 2014-15 campaign, ranking second among the CPP single-season records. Through his career, he collected 187 steals - also at No. 2 on the Broncos' all-time leaderboard.
